Yippeee, it's the weekend ! Time to let your hair down, put on your dancing shoes and party till you drop ! Send your friends/ colleagues/ loved ones a fun-filled greeting card asking them to gear up for a great weekend and have loads of fun !
This is a time for leisure and recreation, and/or for religious activities. In historically Christian countries and East Asia the weekend typically covers Saturday and Sunday, while in Muslim countries it is Thursday and Friday or Friday and Saturday. In Israel, the weekend is Friday and Saturday. Sometimes the preceding work day is considered part of the weekend.
